Baseboard & trim installation
Baseboard installation in Sarasota & Bradenton
Tight corners, clean caulk lines and a smooth paint finish: the trim details that make new floors and fresh paint look truly finished.
Baseboards that finish the room
MA Performance Renovations installs and replaces baseboards, quarter round, shoe molding and door casing in homes across Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch and the surrounding area. We measure, cut and fit every piece on site, cope or miter the corners, fill nail holes, caulk the gaps against the wall and leave the trim primed or painted.
Most clients add baseboards when they install new flooring, because the old trim rarely fits the new floor height. We can remove the old baseboards, install the floor and put in new trim in one project, with one written quote.

Questions
Frequently asked questions: Baseboard Installation
What baseboard height is best for my home?
For standard 8-foot ceilings, 3¼" to 5¼" baseboards look balanced; for 9-foot ceilings and up, 5¼" to 7¼" gives a more custom look. We bring samples to the estimate so you can see them against your walls and floors.
MDF, wood or PVC baseboards: which should I choose?
Primed MDF is smooth, affordable and paints beautifully for most rooms. Finger-jointed pine is tougher against impacts. PVC does not absorb water, so it is the best choice for bathrooms, laundry rooms and areas that get wet.
Should I replace baseboards when I install new flooring?
Usually yes. New floors often sit at a different height and old baseboards get damaged when they come off. Installing new baseboards together with the floor gives the cleanest result for a small extra cost.
Do you paint the baseboards?
Yes. We fill the nail holes, caulk the top edge and paint the trim, so you get a finished result instead of bare boards.
How long does baseboard installation take?
A typical home takes one to two days to install, plus time to caulk and paint. We give you a clear schedule in the written quote.
