Floor demolition & removal
Floor removal and demolition in Sarasota & Bradenton
Old tile, carpet, laminate or wood floors removed, thinset and glue scraped, debris hauled away, and a clean, level subfloor ready for your new floor.
The messy part, done right
MA Performance Renovations removes old flooring in homes across Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch and the surrounding area. We take out ceramic and porcelain tile, carpet and pad, laminate, vinyl and glued or nailed wood floors, scrape the thinset and adhesive, and haul all the debris away.
Good floor removal is what makes a new floor last. We protect the rest of your home, control dust as much as possible, and check the concrete slab or subfloor for cracks and high or low spots, so it is ready for LVP, laminate, hardwood or tile.

Questions
Frequently asked questions: Floor Demolition & Removal
How long does it take to remove tile floors?
Most rooms take one day. A typical home with tile throughout takes two to three days, depending on the square footage and how strongly the tile and thinset are bonded to the slab.
Is tile removal dusty?
Breaking tile always creates some dust, but we keep it under control: we close off the area, cover cabinets and furniture, ventilate and clean up thoroughly every day.
Do I have to remove tile before installing LVP or laminate?
Not always. If the tile is flat and well bonded, floating floors can go over it. If it is cracked, hollow, uneven or adds too much height at doors, removing it is the better choice. We check this for free during the estimate.
Do you haul away the debris?
Yes. Disposal of the old flooring and debris is included in our removal quotes, so you do not need to rent a dumpster.
Can you install the new floor after the removal?
Yes, that is what most clients choose. We remove the old floor, prepare the subfloor and install your new LVP, laminate or engineered hardwood plus new baseboards, all in one project.
